Electrochem’s patented wireless sensors use the latest ZigBee wireless protocol, offering ultra low power consumption, reliability, interoperability and security for control and monitoring applications for your business. Our rugged, compact design is self-contained and ideal for your harsh and dirty industrial operations, and certified for use in hazardous environments.

Many of our sensors are powered by Electrochem high performance primary lithium cells using proprietary enhanced bromine chloride technology. Our lithium cells deliver superior restart, pulse capability and dependable performance over wide temperature ranges and discharge rates, offering a long life power solution for the sensor.

The solutions are nearly endless with the use of a mesh network incorporating our wireless sensors. Utilizing the Electrochem BaseStation, your wireless network can include up to 64,000 sensors. Individual sensors can communicate signals up to .9 miles or 1.5 kilometers, and with a mesh network, the options are infinite.

Electrochem's sensors produce a low-level signal in the millivolt range. The signal is amplified, sampled and digitized into 16-bit or 24-bit words at a rate of up to 1Msps. This is all accomplished using a precision mixed-signal microcontroller (MCU) which integrates an analog-to-digital converter (ADC) with a high-speed 8051-compatible CPU. The MCU itself delivers up to 50 MIPS. The combination of high-precision analog data conversion and high-speed data processing is the ideal choice for precision measurement applications.

Our Wireless Temperature Sensors are applied in high-temperature and high-pressure environments to monitor environmental data. Whether in the oil patch or on the manufacturing floor, we deliver essential data to manage business operations to the next level.

TemperatureSensorOne Wireless Temperature Sensor (TS1)
Our TS1 holds up to the extremes and accurately measures and communicates temperature in rough and rugged industrial environments. Signals are amplified, sampled and digitized into 24-bit words at a rate of up to 1 ksps. This is accomplished using a precision mixed-signal microcontroller (MCU) which integrates an analog-to-digital converter (ADC) and a high-speed 8051-compatible CPU. Accurate measurements are passed to the wireless subsection for transmission.

PressureSensorOne Wireless Pressure Sensor (PS1)
The PS1 has the unique ability to function as an Absolute, Gauge or True Gauge referenced sensor. Measuring about 180 millimeters long, the patent-pending PS1 is compact, self-contained, and offers battery power for the sensor for the entire calibration period of one year.

 

PressureSensorTwo Wireless Pressure Sensor (PS2)
The PS2 integrates a high contrast ratio Cholesteric LCD display, allowing for updates at programmable intervals to show what pressure is being measured, and an industry standard Weco ® 1502 pressure fitting connection. The special case design of the PS2 gives technicians convenient access to the battery compartments for hassle-free battery replacement.

 

PressureSensorThree (PS3) Wireless Pressure Sensor (PS3)
Designed to work with the industry standard 2" hammer union pressure fitting, the ruggedized PS3 sensor has the appearance of a common pressure transducer. Powered by the Electrochem BCX85 size D high performance primary lithium cell - a high rate, spiral-wound technology using proprietary enhanced bromine chloride technology - the BCX85 delivers superior restart, pulse capability and dependable performance over wide temperature ranges and discharge rates. This battery offers a long life power solution for this critical mobile application.

Flow

Our Wireless Flow Sensor can be implemented into any piping system where a rate of flow or total flow to pass though a pipe needs to be monitored - ideal for applications in oil and gas operations, material processing, and more.

FlowSensorOne Wireless Flow Sensor (FS1)
Measuring about 250mm long, the Electrochem FS1 is a compact, self-contained wireless flow sensor. Our ZigBee/IEEE 802.15.4 compliant wireless interface combines an ultra-low power RF transceiver with protocol software to form a transparent wireless communication solution that has self-organizing and self-healing properties. The mesh network allows for ease of installation around obstruction, redundancy in communication paths, and longer range. The 2.4 GHz frequency band is suitable for worldwide use.
